Dog First Island Retreat at Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort

This is one of the more thoughtfully designed travel experiences I have seen announced recently and it felt worth sharing here with members.

BARK Air and Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort have partnered to host a limited series of intimate island retreats created specifically for travelers who want to experience Hawaii alongside their dogs without compromise. The experience blends luxury accommodations restorative wellness programming and coordinated travel support including guidance through Hawaii’s pet entry requirements.

Guests may choose to fly with BARK Air or make their own flight arrangements. Once on island, the pace is intentionally slow and grounded with programming designed for both humans and dogs. Days may include morning swims, sensory walks, sunset yoga, and shared culinary moments in a setting that prioritizes privacy and space.

Why this is notable

• A true luxury resort experience where dogs are welcomed as part of the stay
• Thoughtful coordination around pet travel logistics and entry requirements
• A Rosewood property known for privacy, natural beauty, and unrushed pacing

This is not a fit for most travelers, and that is exactly what makes it interesting. Experiences like this tend to resonate with clients who value access, careful planning, and environments that feel genuinely designed rather than adapted.

Members are always welcome to reach out if this sparks curiosity or if you would like help exploring whether an experience like this aligns with your travel style.
